Digital launch UI/UX design & communication assets for Motorola refrigerators at Flipkart
Motorola launched its first global range of smart home appliances for Indian consumers through a strategic partnership with the e-commerce giant Flipkart. We created the launch UI/UX design & communication including the Flipkart app & desktop store, photoshoots, on-platform & other digital assets for the entire range of washing machines & refrigerators.
The first ever truly smart home appliances, the Motorola refrigerators come with Tru-wifi technology which allows consumers to access them from their smartphones. Customised convertible storage space, an adaptive inverter technology paired with TruSmart sensors to collect data from the internal load, door usage, and ambient temperature to optimize cooling – everything about it begged for a truly smart design and communication package.
Launched during the pandemic in 2020, what made the launch, both challenging and exciting was the fact it it was a 100% digital launch.
Using learnings from brand Motorola and the entire home appliances category, we created a unique design system for Motorola home appliances. UI/UX design for a new age app & desktop store at Flipkart that launched Motorola home appliances in India on the Flipkart – Big Billion Day, photo-shoot for a range of 6+ refrigerators, 6+ sets of packaging-user manuals, 100+ unique set of icons, digital assets like in-store & app launch communication for Flipkart & Motorola websites.
This ‘truly smart’ launch helped Motorola build a premium positioning for its range of smart appliances in India and scale a profitable growth chart despite the global pandemic.
